Meanwhile, Mangakahia was also named to the Top 10 for the Nancy Lieberman Award, given to the best point guard in women’s college basketball. The pair once again showed out on court this week, with Smith tallying 17 points and 7 rebounds in Stanford’s 61-44 win over Oregon State and Mangakahia dishing 12 assists in Syracuse’s 96-69 victory over a Boston College side missing Aussie sharpshooter Taylor Ortlepp through injury. However, the best action was found in the New York boroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn as Taylah Simmons and Jade Johnson dominated proceedings.
