In recent years, the Under-20 Men’s National Championships has become a must-watch event. Most national tournaments go through stretches of dominance from the traditional powers, but the burgeoning depth of talent nationwide has seen some level of parity here, with four different champions in each of the last four years, including last year’s incredible Victoria Navy triumph.

The 2026 edition loomed as another wide-open race before it tipped off, and by the end of a huge week of hoops in Ballarat, we had a fifth different national champion in five years. New South Wales claimed their first gold medal at the event since 2007, but they faced plenty of stiff competition along the way. With so much high-level talent on display, we’ve picked out just a few of the U20 standouts from another great tournament.

Make sure to check out our breakdown of some of the stars from the women’s tournament.

All stats referenced are from hoopsDB. Due to a system issue at the tournament, quarter-final stats were not recorded and are not included.
