The 2024 Australian Schools Championships showcased some incredible basketball across 20 divisions, but the best action of all might have been in the Under-20 Championship Division Women. With every school bringing some high-level talent to the Gold Coast, no result was a given and all eight teams played like they couldn’t take anything for granted.

In the end it was the underdogs that won out, with Brisbane State High School taking down South Australia’s Immanuel College in the grand final to claim the national title. That capped an impressive undefeated week for the Queenslanders, but they certainly didn’t have it all their own way as they faced off against some of the best young players in the country.

With so much talent on display, it’s tough to pick out the standouts; regardless, that’s exactly what we’ve tried to do. Below are just some of the players that put their name up in lights with brilliant performances, in no particular order.

Note: Breakdowns from other divisions in the 2024 Australian Schools Championships will be published, as only scoring statistics were available. Basketball Australia confirmed the limitation was due to the amount of games played.
