Aussies in NBA: Magic rumoured to offer Joe Ingles $60 million, 4-year deal
We all know Joe Ingles is set for a huge payday, following his standout performance in the 2016/17 NBA season.
The numbers look to be getting out of hand however, given the flattened 2017/18 salary cap; it is reportedly to be at $99 million. According to Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post, Ingles could be worth $15 million, and that the Orlando Magic are ready to throw up a 4-year, $60 million deal.
While the Magic could definitely use a versatile forward of Ingles' caliber, their rebuild effort could be weighed down by overpaying a player.

The Utah Jazz have Ingles as a restricted free agent and could match the offer sheet, should it actually happen. It's uncertain if the Jazz would actually lock themselves in financially to Jingles, who turns 30 soon.
Ingles averaged 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals in the regular season (link), and at one stretch, led the league in three-point shooting percentage. The swingman also had an excellent performance against the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs, especially in Game 4 where he led the team to a 105-98 victory.
