Wilson partners with CLB3X3 to foster growth of 3x3

6th Nov, 2017

FIBA’s official 3×3 ball Wilson has partnered with Champions League Basketball (CLB), supporting Australia’s leading 3×3 brand CLB3X3 for the 2017/18 Aussie Summer Series.

Already providing the official ball for the NBL and FIBA 3×3 competitions, Wilson has reinforced their commitment to supporting basketball in Australia across all levels through partnering with CLB.

Steven Lonsing, Commercial Manager for Wilson Team Sports Australia was excited about the opportunity to support the growth of 3×3 basketball across Australia over the next 12 months.

“The team at CLB have done a great job increasing the awareness of 3X3 in Australia over the last few years. By partnering with CLB for the 2017/18 season we can bring our expertise and experience in basketball to support CLB with their events and ultimately help grow the 3×3 game nationally. This partnership with CLB reinforces, Wilson’s commitment to supporting basketball at all levels.”

As the official ball of FIBA 3×3, Wilson’s 3×3 game ball features their patented ‘Wave Triple Threat Technology’ for superior control, which every CLB3X3 participant will now be able to get tier hands on. With 24 additional channels, or grooves on the ball, it allows for better grip and ball handing on all types of courts and court conditions, ideal for 3×3 competition.

Wilson’s 3×3 game ball also showcases a vibrant FIBA 3×3 graphic design in bold blue and yellow to reflect the sun and sky — the outdoor conditions in which 3×3 is traditionally played.

CLB General Manager Matt Hollard was excited to have Wilson join an increasing number of corporate partners recently announced, including PEAK Australia.

“To have Wilson on board with CLB3X3 shows the level commitment these high-end companies are making to the game and growth of 3X3,” said CLB General Manager Matt Hollard.

“There is something pretty special about having the official FIBA 3X3 ball partner aligned with us. The amount of positive comments we have received from players and spectators around the look and quality of the ball has been really pleasing.

“3×3 is a truly exciting game that is open and accessible to anyone who enjoys basketball. We look forward to giving CLB 3×3 patrons the opportunity to play with the Wilson Official FIBA 3×3 Game Ball.”

Wilson’s presence across CLB3X3’s 2017/18 Summer Series will be evident at the State Basketball Centre followed for the SEABL vs CLB3X3 Extravaganza scheduled to be played in alignment with the WNBL cluster round across 24-26 November at the State Basketball Centre. With an extensive schedule with competitions slated for across Australia, Wilson and CLB3X3 will showcase some of the best 3×3 action this summer.

The full schedule of events supported by Wilson can be found at www.clb3x3.com.
