Like the three other Australians who declared for the 2019 NBA draft, Brian Bowen II found himself undrafted.

But all is not lost - according to Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo, the Indiana Pacers have agreed to a two-way contract for Bowen II.

This means Bowen will opt out of the remainder of his deal with the Kings in the coming season, which possibly involves a buyout from the Pacers.
Brian Bowen II spent the recent NBL season as part of the Next Stars program, a pathway that's being developed as a route towards the NBA.

The latest athletes to commit to the Next Stars in the coming 2019/20 NBL season include lottery prospect R.J. Hampton (New Zealand Breakers), and LaMelo Ball (Illawarra Hawks).
During the 2018/19 NBL season, the 6'7, 20 year old small forward averaged 6.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 15.3 minutes over 30 games played with the Kings (stats).

According to NBA Australia's Tom Read, Bowen did not impress during the recent NBA combine, with questions raised around his first step and court speed.

Nevertheless, the Sydney King receives an opportunity to further his NBA journey with the Indiana Pacers. It's now up to him to make the most of it.
