Wojnarowski: Kelly Olynyk out of action for Canada's World Cup run
Canada loses another NBA name this week, as ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed forward Kelly Olynyk's inability to rejoin the squad for the coming FIBA 2019 World Cup, due to an earlier knee injury.

Olynyk suffered a bone bruise in his knee while playing against Nigeria last week. He slipped on the hardwood, hitting his right knee, and needed assistance in heading to the locker room.

The big man had X-rays taken, and was originally expected to miss a week and be able to participate in the World Cup.

Canada will be playing the Australian Boomers in Perth this Friday, on 16 August 2019. The game will be available to watch via free to air on SBS.
