With Ben Simmons out, Jason Cadee has been added to the Boomers squad
Basketball Australia has added Jason Cadee to the Australian Boomers squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup as a direct replacement for Ben Simmons who has formally withdrawn.
Extremely excited to join the @BasketballAus squad this week! Incredible group to be apart of 🏀🇦🇺 https://t.co/Vs4wuOA8Xl

Cadee makes his return to the Boomers squad after successfully campaigns in winning gold at the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup and 2018 Commonwealth Games, while featuring in five games in helping the Boomers qualify via the Asian Qualifiers.
The Brisbane Bullets guard averaged 6.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game across the World Cup qualifiers in 21.2 minutes per game. His biggest outing was a 21 point explosion in the second round win against Qatar, draining 5 of 8 three-pointers.

Cadee's addition brings the number in the squad back up to 18 players, yet it would be surprising to see the guard selected to the final team of 12 with NBA guards Matthew Dellavedova, Patty Mills and Joe Ingles all able to handle the play making duties given their availability.
