Trevor Gleeson to coach in Summer League with Pacers
The Perth Wildcats officially announced today, that head coach Trevor Gleeson will join the Indiana Pacers' coaching staff at the 2019 NBA Summer League.
Gleeson's potential commitment to the Wildcats was first discussed on NBL Overtime earlier this week.
The Wildcats coach flies to Indiana this weekend for a training mini-camp, before flying to Las Vegas where the Summer League begins on Friday 5 July.
"It's the elite, the NBA is the best competition in the world, and to be a part of that program to get some ideas and see the latest technologies and the latest trends - anything we can transfer to our league - is exciting," Gleeson said.

"It's also an opportunity to get to know the players. The Summer Leagues have been pretty good to us in the past, this gives you an inside look at how coachable the players are, and their attitude. Some things you miss when watching from the stands."
Gleeson is looking forward to the games, and believes the experience will benefit the Wildcats.
"I'll have the front row seat to a playoff basketball team. So hopefully we'll build some relationships that can help both organisations in the long term. I'm looking forward to it."
The Indiana Pacers' first Summer League game will be on Saturday 6 July 2019 against the Memphis Grizzlies.
