Melbourne United announces ticketing availability for LSU game
Ticketing information has been announced for Melbourne United's matchup against Louisiana State University (LSU). The game is set to tip off at Hisense Arena on August 22nd, with free entry to the public.
The Basketball Victoria community will be the first to be able to request tickets, with ballots opening from 10am on Monday, August 3rd, for those members. The request will be done via email, with limited general admission tickets available to this group, hence the tickets being allocated on a first-serve basis.
The public ballot will open for request from 10am on Wednesday, August 5th. This ballot is open to the general public, with 8000 of these tickets available, free of charge. These general admission tickets will be allocated through a ballot conducted on Friday, August 14th.
These general admission tickets, however, do not guarantee entry to the game. The doors at Hisense Arena open at 5:30pm and spectators are encouraged to arrive as early as possible in order to assure a spot in the stands.
Seats will also be available to 2015-16 CTI Melbourne United members, with a spokesperson from Melbourne United telling The Pick and Roll that membership signups for the upcoming season are well under way.
Our website should be live to the general public come Monday morning (if not earlier), and we should be in full membership swing from there. With that being said, new members can call our membership number (1300 698 443) and speak to someone to get their membership sorted now if they please.
Members can register for reserved seats to the LSU game, should they sign up prior to August 13th - the ballot's close date.
Tickets for the Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle legs of LSU’s tour of Australia have reached the $100 mark, but Melbourne United and Basketball Victoria have come together to offer a free showing of Ben Simmons - a future NBA lottery pick.

He was the recipient of The Morgan Wootten Award, Gatorade Player of the Year award and Naismith Trophy, whilst also a Nike Hoop Summit Participant, McDonald’s All American, ESPN’s #1 ranked player, FIBA U17 World Championship silver medalist and three-time National Champion with Montverde Academy
CTI Melbourne United CEO Vince Crivelli is excited to provide this free viewing Australian basketball fans, and is confident that both squads will put forward a quality display of basketball.
This is a brilliant opportunity for not just basketball fans, but sports fans in general, to see one of the best athletes ever to come out of Australia in action, and a team that has won two conference championships and a national championship in the last ten years. It is spectacular world-class basketball with many of the players set for long NBA careers."
