As we reach the midway point of the WNBL season – after the announcement earlier in the week that the WNBL season would be cut down slightly to 18 games per team– it’s time to take a look at who is pushing themselves into the MVP conversation with half a season left to play.
Despite the ongoing rescheduling of games and uncertainty, the play within the league has been phenomenal. There’s superstars proving their worth and Opals squad members putting their names forward in what is a World Cup year.
There are teams breaking away from the pack, while others are fighting to stay in the top four hunt, and the five standout players in the race for the Suzy Batkovic MVP Award, listed in no particular order, have put on a show all season long.
