Perth’s 35 consecutive NBL finals appearances is a record never likely to be touched.

However, we do currently find ourselves in the midst of a historic run, with Melbourne United once again on track for an incredible season.

Dean Vickerman’s reign as coach of the Victorian franchise has been one filled with success and the numbers certainly stack up to match that.

The numbers

NBL26 is Vickerman’s ninth year in charge of Melbourne, and at the time of writing through regular season and playoff basketball, United have a 187-96 record. That’s a winning percentage of 66%.
