It’s been well documented that the NBL1 is a national hot spot for exciting young talent.

The league gives them the opportunity to show off just how good they are, and potentially catch the eye of WNBL or NBL clubs.

So who are the next batch of stars to elevate to the next level of the back of elite NBL1 seasons?

Here are some players to keep your eye on…

ELLIOTT BROWN (Sandringham Sabres | SOUTH)

2026 so far: 9gms, 14.2ppg, 5.1rpg, 4.3apg, 43% FG

I’ve long been in the Elliott Brown fan club, and it should only be a matter of time before he gets some sort of a sniff at NBL level.

He was excellent at the NBL National Finals last year, and he has started 2026 well for the Sabres, averaging 14.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
