There’s only one non-negotiable on game-day for Izzy Borlase.

It’s not a pre-game meal, certain workout, or even a specific song on the way to the stadium.

For Borlase, it’s an intentional activity that helps her map out exactly how she can rise to any occassion, be the best team-mate she can be, and above all else, help her team win. So far, it seems to be working.

But we’ll get to that.

Recently, I put forward Courtney Woods’ case for MVP. She has an extremely compelling argument for the league’s top award, blending both individual stardom and team success with statistical dominance and an intangible impact that goes beyond the boxscore. Overall, she would make a fine choice for MVP.

The only issue? Borlase’s latest breakout might just trump even Woods’s most outstanding efforts. Here’s how.
