The many different basketball leagues across Europe have tipped off recently and there’s some standout Australian women who are already proving their worth to their respective teams.
Some Australians have made the switch from the WNBL to Europe this season, and whilst they’ll be missed in Australia, they’ve already taken on large roles in some European powerhouse teams. Let’s take a look at how the Australian women in Europe have begun their seasons.

Darcee Garbin’s career has gone from strength to strength in recent years, captaining the Perth Lynx last season and then being a strong role player for the Opals – and perhaps delivering the assist of the tournament – as they claimed bronze at the World Cup.
