Australian Boomer Ryan Broekhoff of Lokomotiv Kuban is set to play in the 2017 VTB United League All-Star Game on 11 February in Sochi, Russia.
Following a fan vote and media selection process, Broekhoff received 11 votes to sneak into the top 6 players selected to the World Stars front court.
The 197cm sharp-shooting forward from Melbourne has been a consistent contributor for Lokomotiv this season, helping them to a 10-2 record and second place in the standings, including a victory over current competition leaders CSKA Moscow. He has been providing 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting a sizzling-hot 50% from beyond the three-point arc in the VTB United League.
When playing for Besiktas Istanbul, Broekhoff earned selection to the 2015 Turkish Basketball League All-Star game where his Team Europe side earned a narrow win.
