QBL Men: Mitch Young lifts Logan to first win
After only one game in Round 4 of the QBL, Round 5 heats back up with some big time match-ups.
Let's take a look at the only game of Round 4 before we preview Round 5.
Round 4 Review
Logan Thunder 89 - Ipswich Force 85
Logan came into this one looking for their first win of the season and they did just enough to secure the victory even after letting Ipswich back into the game in the third quarter.
The Thunder big men were the key to the win. Mitch Young led all scorers with 26 points to go with 16 rebounds (7 offensive) and 3 assists. Young did most of his damage from the free throw line, going 14-of-19 for the night.
Fellow big man Keanu Post had his best game of the season so far, totaling 20 points with 9 rebounds - all while playing a season high 33 minutes. Michael Cedar struggled again from the field, but with the game on the line he sunk a jump shot to seal the win for Logan.
Ipswich lost the game in the first half, trailing by 7 after the first quarter and 11 at the half. The Force were led by James Legan's 22 points, while Jarryd Eustace had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Josh Derksen chipped in with 17 points.

Round 5 Preview
Friday 26 May 8:00PM | Cairns at Sunshine Coast
Phoenix are looking for their first win of the season and will be boosted by the debut of Jeromie Hill. This is game one of another back-to-back for Marlins and they cannot afford to look past Sunshine Coast.
Friday 26 May 8:30PM | Mackay at Ipswich
Ipswich got off to a slow start last week and it cost them a win. They cannot let that happen again with Mackay in town. The Meteors will be playing three games in three days and will want to start the trip with a win over the Force.
Friday 26 May 8:30PM | Townsville at Gladstone
The Power will be looking to stifle the Heat in front of their home crowd. Gladstone needs to get their big guns Ray Willis and Will Shackleford going while Townsville will be looking to point guard Josh Wilcher and forward Justin Baker to help get them back into the win column.
Saturday 27 May 7:00PM | Gold Coast at Logan
Logan will come into this one with their confidence high after picking up their first win of the season, while Gold Coast also comes in confident on the strength of two straight wins. Can the Rollers contain Logan's big men? Who gets the Torrey Craig assignment for the Thunder?
Saturday 27 May 7:15PM | Capitals at Spartans
This rivalry is reignited in Round 5 with both teams heading in different directions. Capitals are one of three unbeaten teams remaining while Spartans have dropped two in a row since their Round 1 win. Can the Spartans keep pace with the Caps? How do the Capitals keep Tom Jervis in check and off the offensive glass?
Saturday 27 May 7:30PM | Townsville at Rockhampton
Rockhampton returns home after splitting their two games in Round 3. The Rockets were impressive vs Toowoomba but would be disappointed in their performance vs Ipswich. Which Rockhampton teams turns up to play against the Heat? This will be Townsville's 2nd game of a back-to-back...how will they handle the travel and two games in two days?
Saturday 27 May 7:30PM | Cairns at USC Rip
Rip have been the surprise of the early season as they enter this game undefeated and with some nice wins on their CV, but the Marlins will be their toughest test yet. Some great individual battles in this one as we'll see Isaih Tueta and Lance Hurdle duel with Damon Heuir and Jarrad Weeks.
Saturday 27 May 8:00PM | Mackay at Toowoomba
The Mountaineers have a tough task on their hands as Mackay pays a visit to Clive Berghofer Arena. Toowoomba's big men Paul Aleer and Manylok Malek have been very good this year, but the 'Neers need Jalil Abdul-Bassit and Jay Washington to be at the top of their games if they want to pull off the upset.
Sunday 28 May 2:00PM | Mackay at South West (see live stream details below)
The schedule doesn't help Mackay at all, as their third game in three days tips off just after lunchtime Sunday. Pirates are desperate for a win as they have dropped all 3 games they've played so far in 2017. Will Mackay have enough left in the tank to fend off South West. Does South West have the game plan to take down the title favorites?
