NCAA Men: Anthony Drmic is back...in training
Anthony Drmic is back. Back in training at least, as the Boise State Broncos commenced their first official practice session for the upcoming 2015/16 NCAA season.
After playing just 7 games last season before season-ending ankle surgery, Drmic was granted a medical red-shirt that enables him to return for a fifth and final year of college. It is an opportunity that Drmic is looking to make the most of, explaining the complications behind his injury in a detailed and candid interview with the Idaho Statesman.
"I had a minor, well major complication with my surgery,” Drmic stated.
“It was a rare thing that happened. I ended up getting some nerve damage from my nerve block, so it’s been a little bit slower, but the staff has been great helping me and I’m working hard with rehab so hopefully within a couple of weeks I’ll be ready to go."

Drmic enters his fifth season in seventh place on Boise State’s all-time scoring list, needing just 417 points to take hold of the school's record. While he admits that he is not yet 100%, he is not far away.
“I’m just happy to be out there playing basketball again”
Boise State opens their season on 13 November (US time) against Montana, and Drmic is on track to be in the starting line-up. Expect him to be back better than ever.
