When Jonah Antonio talks to The Pick and Roll, he’s just returned to Perth from a national 3x3 camp in Melbourne, satisfied with the hit-out and crossing his fingers for a spot in this year’s FIBA 3x3 World Cup.
Shortly after, the Perth-born sharp-shooter was named in the team, alongside Jarred Bairstow, Lachlan Barker and Alex Higgins-Titsha. The group is currently in Serbia for a pre-tournament camp before the main event in Warsaw, Poland, from June 1 to 7.
The 29-year-old has previously represented Australia in the format at last year’s FIBA 3x3 World Cup, the FIBA Champions Cup and Asia Cups in 2026 and 2025 (which the team won) and says playing 3x3 has been enjoyable and has added new dimensions to his 5x5 game.
