Matur Maker had a strong performance against Zion Williamson's USA Red 2018, but Team Asia Pacific ultimately fell short in the adidas Nation 2017 championship game, losing 108-79.

Maker, who was leading the tournament in scoring, had 31 points (9/20 FG), 6 rebounds in 30 minutes of playing time, was the highest scorer on both teams, ahead of Zion Williamson's 28 points (stats).

Maker's cousin, Makur Maker had 2 points, 2 rebounds in the game for Team Asia Pacific.

Matur Maker ended the adidas Nations 2017 tournament averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists over 6 games, while shooting 50% from the field and 23.8% from the three-point line (stats).

The power forward generated plenty of excitement with his aggressive plays at the rim; he was finishing through contact both on the half-court and in transition.

According to Fox Sports Australia's Olgun Uluc, Matur Maker is expected to follow in the footsteps of his brother Thon Maker, by declaring for the 2018 NBA draft, and skipping college in the process.
