Marena Whittle is realising her Olympic dream with the 3x3 Gangurrus
Here's how Marena Whittle recently helped the Australian Gangurrus turn their Olympic dream into reality.

“Putting on the green and gold is the highest privilege in the sport, and I do not take it lightly that I get to wear it as often as I do - it's amazing.”
For Marena Whittle, the opportunity to represent her country is the ultimate goal and honour. Having booked her spot at the Paris Olympics, she will be realising a childhood dream when she hits the court with her fellow Australian Gangurrus at the 3x3 women’s basketball tournament.
“I want to do the absolute best for my country and going to the Olympics was always something that I wanted when I was younger,” she told The Pick and Roll. “I didn't know how that was going to go, but once I found 3x3, I was like, ‘if there's a will, there's a way and let's get this done’.
“Little me would be pinching myself right now.”
The Gangurrus – Whittle, Anneli Maley, Ally Wilson and Lauren Mansfield – had to qualify the hard way, but they wouldn’t have had it any other way.
