The career of an elite hooper only lasts a finite amount of time.

Some lucky ones are able to continue into their 30s, however, they still have over half of their lives ahead of them and very few have made enough in their careers to never work again.

So what comes next?

It’s a question many who have played at the college and professional level ask themselves, and is something that plenty don’t have the answer to.

It was this dilemma that spurred Aussie, and former NCAA Division I player, Alex Opacic to found Athlete2Business. The organisation looks to connect athletes to companies that value the transferable skills that elite sportspeople bring to the table.
