Kouat Noi withdraws from 2019 NBA Draft

Sudanese-Australian forward Kouat Noi has been officially listed as having withdrawn his name from the 2019 NBA draft.

Noi was listed as a withdrawal in the NBA's latest list of early entry candidates for the coming draft.

Last season, Noi played 31 games with TCU and started 19 games, averaging 13.9 points. He decided to turn pro in April, and made the announcement on Twitter.

“I’m all-in,” the TCU Horned Frogs forward said to the Star-Telegram in April. “I feel like it’s time to go. I could definitely stay another year, but I feel like it’s my time. I’m ready to go to the next level. It’s going to be a hard process, but I’m 100 percent confident in myself.”

The forward also confirmed that playing overseas is an option, should the NBA not work out.

“I feel every aspect of my game is what any NBA team needs,” Noi said. “I can go out there and play defense. I can shoot 3s. I’m comfortable in every aspect and I feel I can provide a lot for a NBA team.”

The 6'7 Sudanese-Australian had worked out for various NBA teams, including the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings prior to his withdrawal.

Other Australians currently preparing for the 2019 NBA draft include William McDowell-White and Harry Froling. According to Chris Fisher of the 247Sports Network, Matur Maker will be staying in the 2020 class.
