Jonah Bolden officially joins our Aussies in Europe.
It was reported earlier that the Sixers had decided to stash Bolden in Israel with Tel Aviv Maccabi, and the signing was officially confirmed by the club.
According to the club's official release, Bolden has been inked to a 3-year contract, with NBA exit clauses built in. Red Star and the Philadelphia 76ers were also involved in structuring this transaction.
Maccabi's head coach Neven Spahija complimented Bolden's work ethic, athleticism and shooting in the same release, and believes in Bolden's potential to develop into a great player.
Bolden made a tremendous case for his NBA readiness in the recent NBA Summer League, and gave the Sixers reason to reconsider their decision, but was likely still stashed due to current roster considerations.
