With the fall recruitment period recently opening, college coaches have been frantically contacting the best prospects class of 2017 prospects.
Eastern Washington has been in contact with Perry since April of this year, with some of the coaching staff even travelling to Melbourne to meet with him. Head coach Jim Hayford also made his way down under to meet with Perry, before offering him on Wednesday night.
Eastern Washington University's connection with Australia isn't new, with the 'Eagles' already having five Aussies on its roster - Geremy McKay, Venky Jois, Felix Von Hofe. Jesse Hunt and Michael Wearne.
It's still very early in Perry's recruitment, so expect more colleges to show interest as this recruitment period picks up its pace.
