It's finally happened: Ben Simmons made his first regular season NBA three
We've all heard enough about those offseason training highlights, even the first preseason made three from Ben Simmons.
But on Wednesday night against the New York Knicks, Simmons finally splashed his official NBA regular season three-pointer in the first quarter, off a bounce pass from Furkan Korkmaz.
You could see Simmons' defender, Mitchell Robinson backing off, but Simmons did not hesitate in the slightest - he let it fly.

Critics might nitpick and say it's a corner three that was made off the catch. Should this become a staple however, Simmons' ability to space the floor as an off-ball perimeter presence --as opposed to his previous tendencies to camp in the weak side dunker spot-- could open up driving lanes for the team, and discourage traps on Joel Embiid from Simmons' defender.
The next thing to watch? Pull up, off the dribble threes. Make it happen, Simmons.
