Isaac Humphries targeted by Kansas and more | U17 Men’s Squad College Updates #1
Isaac Humphries, the projected starting center for the Australian U17 Men’s Squad, has received strong interest from Kansas, Texas and Arizona.
Humphries, who is one of the top big-men for the Class of 2016, has been in constant communication with representatives from all 3 schools over the past few days, with their interest in him growing.
The 7-footer out of Sydney will join La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana at the beginning of next year and is also receiving interest from Stanford, UCLA, SMU and Nebraska, among others.

Most recently, Humphries was a member of the NSW Metro squad at the U18's Australian Junior Championships - averaging 17.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.3 apg, 67% FG, 3.4 bpg, and 2.8 spg throughout the tournament. He also had an impressive Australian Schools Championships at the end of last year, having a standout game in the Grand Final vs Dante Exum's Lake Ginninderra side.
We've labeled Humphries as one of the brightest Australian prospects in the junior ranks before so there's no surprise he's receiving this kind of interest from these colleges. Scout.com recruiting analyst Brian Snow has even labeled the young big-man as the next Australian that could have a big impact in the US.
Over the next few days we'll be bringing you the latest recruitment updates for the Australian U17 Men's team as they prepare for their FIBA U17 World Championship campaign.
The FIBA U17 World Championships begins on the 8th of August in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with the Australian U17 team tipping off against Japan at 7:30pm (AEST).
