There’s no way to sugar-coat it: the Southside Flyers produced an underwhelming 2021/22 WNBL campaign after entering the season as defending champions. While injuries absolutely played a part in their downfall, a seventh placed finish with just five wins and 12 losses fell well short of expectations.
With the start of the 2022/23 season less than a week away, the Flyers look far better equipped to make some noise this season with big names added to the squad, while the return of a healthy Abby Bishop will also be key
