GEM to broadcast FIBA Oceania Championships live
Basketball Australia has announced that Game 1 of the FIBA Oceania Championships will be available to watch on free-to-air television.
According to Basketball Australia, negotiations are underway for the Game 2 broadcast and will be confirmed later.
The FIBA Oceania Championships is a two-game series featuring our Australian Boomers and Opals against New Zealand's Tall Blacks and Tall Ferns, and will decide the road to next year's Rio Olympics. Game 1 will be hosted in Melbourne, and Game 2 will be in New Zealand.
The Boomers are currently in Europe, getting ready for the upcoming match against New Zealand. They lost to Lithuania 68-80, and will play Lithuania again on Saturday, followed by two warm up games against Slovenia.
