Australia were guaranteed of boasting a winner of the 2017 US High School National Championship after five players progressed to the title game with at least one on each team.
La Lumiere’s Australian quartet of Jacob Epperson, James Anderson, Daniel Goldrick and Ramon Singh defeated Cameron Healy's Montverde Academy 70-52 to take out the 2017 title (report).
The Creighton-bound 6'11 Epperson provided 4 points on 2-of-2 shooting with 3 rebounds and 1 assist in coming off the bench for La Lumiere. Montverde's 6’3 point guard Healy who is headed to Albany, connected on 3-of-9 from beyond the arc to finish with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the final.
