From Hoover to Hobart: Josh Magette is ready for the NBL

Once a "skinny white kid" playing Divison II basketball, Josh Magette is set to lead the Tasmania JackJumpers to glory in their inaugural season.

Josh Magette looks comfortable lounging on the couch in his hotel room, but he’s only got eyes for the world outside his window. I ask what he’s most excited for once he escapes. “Oh man, I don’t know. That’s a great question,” he says, then with a laugh, “maybe just go sprint, in one direction, and not run into a wall.”
