From college to the capital: how Alex Fowler is relishing life as a pro

A list of Alex Fowler’s achievements as a Portland Pilot could fill this article, and then some. But to list just a couple of highlights: she became the program’s all-time leading Division 1 scorer, made four All-WCC First Teams and helped the team to win the WCC Tournament (and qualify for the NCAA tournament) in 2020 and 2023, winning the MVP for the event both times.
The early signs suggest she’s making a smooth transition from college to the pros, averaging 15.8 points across her first four games and connecting on six of 11 three-pointers for 54.5% long-range shooting. Above all, she looks at home in the WNBL and you get the feeling she will be a fixture of the league for years to come.
