Such has been the outstanding form of David Andersen this season for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, the veteran center has been selected to play in the 2015 French Pro A League All Star game on 30 December 2015.
Playing in his third season with ASVEL, Andersen has played an integral role in helping his side to the top of the French Pro A table with a 9-2 record. The Australian Boomer has been in outstanding form, delivering 11.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. Also contributing as a leader, Andersen's efforts were duly recognised in being selected as a starter to the foreigner squad.
Andersen has been a model of consistency in 2015, scoring in double figures in 8 out of his 11 games. He posted an impressive 17 point and 10 rebound double-double in a win against Limoges, and a season-high 18 points in another win against Le Havre.
With the 2016 Rio Olympic Games just around the corner, Andersen's great form is another encouraging sign as the Boomers aim for a medal. While he will play in an All Star game between now and then, his main focus is sure to be on helping ASVEL win a French Pro A title.
