Four standouts from Australia's U16 Boys Asia Cup triumph
It was a record-breaking fourth Asian crown for Australia's Under-16 Crocs, and there were plenty of stars on show as they completed an undefeated tournament in Mongolia.
It was a historic week in Mongolia for the Australian Crocs, as they ran the gauntlet at the FIBA Under-16 Asia Cup and emerged undefeated. Not only did they claim gold with victory in Sunday’s final, but they also moved past their opponents China for the most titles in the event's history with a fourth straight crown.
With Brisbane Bullets assistant coach Greg Vanderjagt leading a talented and deep roster, it was no surprise to see them emerge victorious. They were challenged at times, but the Crocs emphatically stamped their papers as the best in Asia, and while that took contributions from across the roster, a handful of players stood up and led from the front across the week.
