The start of both the WNBL and USA college basketball seasons over recent weeks has fans across the globe tuned in. While there’s plenty of question marks surrounding players and teams in both competitions, one thing has shone through; the future of the Australian Opals is undoubtedly in good hands.

Here in Australia, the trio of Jade Melbourne, Issy Borlase and Nyadiew Puoch have all taken their respective games to the next level this WNBL season, while Georgia Amoore continues to prove herself as one of the best guards in college basketball having has picked up where she left off last season with Virginia Tech after leading them to the 2023 Final Four.
