EuroView: Mangok Mathiang a dominant force in Turkey
Mangok Mathiang's presence for Bahçeşehir has not yet translated to wins in Turkey, the 6'10 big man has however been a dominant force at both ends of the court.
In the Turkish Super League, Mathiang went 6 of 9 from the field on his way to compiling 15 points and 8 rebounds against Darüşşafaka. While his team were competitive, they found it difficult to match the depth of their opponents who sourced 31 points from their bench in a tight 76-83 win. The loss consigned Mathiang's Bahçeşehir to a sixth straight loss and the last remaining team in the league still searching for its first win of the season.
In Lithuania, Žalgiris Kaunas backed up their EuroLeague win earlier in the week to take down Juventus 86-80 and remain undefeated. Žalgiris gained early control only to see Juventus wrestle it back in the second term. The home side then fought back to close out the game down the stretch behind delirious support from their fans. Jock Landale provided 4 points and 6 rebounds in 15 minutes, backing up his 8 points in 12 minutes in a thrilling win against Fenerbahce in EuroLeague.

Valencia experienced a challenging week, dropping a narrow 77-83 loss to Barcelona in the EuroLeague before losing a heartbreaking 86-88 overtime loss to Gran Canaria back home in the ACB.
In EuroLeague action, Brock Motum played 16 minutes for 8 points and 2 rebounds but could not prevent the loss. He again scored freely back in Spain, adding 11 points on 5 of 6 shooting in playing 22 minutes. Valencia are now 3-4 in the ACB and 1-5 in EuroLeague and will be looking to bounce back next week when they take on Panathinaikos Athens and UCAM Murcia.
Rytas Vilnius had a tough encounter with Umana Reyer Venice in the EuroCup, going down 72-81. Cameron Bairstow started, adding just 4 points and 1 rebounds in 14 minutes.
Duop Reath continued his outstanding season for FMP Belgrade, but in a showdown with their rivals Partizan in the Adriatic League, would go down 85-90. In a closely fought contest, Partizan managed to open up a 7 point lead at the final break. It was all that they needed, withstanding every challenge down the stretch to inflict a first defeat of the season on FMP.

Reath was one of three FMP players to score in double figures, adding 14 points (4-8 FG) and 3 rebounds. The 6'10 big man has been terrific and a big reason behind FMP's great start to the season, averaging 14.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Pisotoia earned a close 76-72 win against Trieste in the Italian Serie A, earning their first win of the season and climbing off the bottom of the standings. After trailing for most of the game, Pistoia unleashed a 27-19 final term to steal a 4 point win and break their drought. Angus Brandt started and played 19 minutes, contributing 6 points and 6 rebounds in the win.
