EuroView: Cayla George dominates in Hungarian quarterfinals

Cayla George has helped her Hungarian side to two straight wins in the quarterfinals, putting them in a great position for the pointy end of the season.
In Sopron’s first match against ZTE NKK, George banked 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to help her team to a 77-47 point win. In the second match against the same team, Sopron completed a 75-60 point win. George was again a standout with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
Dynamo Moscow lost their second game of the Russian semifinals to Dynamo Kursk, going down 98-62. Ebzery totaled 3 points and 3 assists for the match.
Tarbes lost their second match in the French quarterfinals to Angers despite a huge effort from Abby Bishop. Bishop’s 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists couldn’t help her side get over the line, as they fell short just three points.
Alice Kunek helped her French side Lyon get over the line against Nice with a 54-48 point win. Kunek totalled 5 points and 8 rebounds for the match.
Hatay went down to Galatasaray 69-82 in Turkey. Nat Hurst provided 9 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists for the match as she had her work cut out for her against American import point guard Yvonne Anderson.
