Dyson Daniels receives college offer from Arkansas
According to Travis Branham from 247Sports, the guard recently received an offer from the University of Arkansas.
Daniels is currently classified under the 2022 class.
The Arkansas Razorbacks, who are in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), went 18-16 overall last season under head coach Mike Anderson, and hired Eric Musselman as their new head coach in April. Musselman has had a winning record with Nevada, going 110-34 over four seasons along with a CBI tournament championship, three NCAA tournament berths and a Sweet 16 spot.
Daniels was part of the NBA Global Academy squad that took championship spot at Atlanta's NBA Academy Games. Daniels shot 50% from the field, and led the team with 34 total rebounds in the tournament.
The 6'4 guard has also played 13 games for the NBL1's Bendigo Braves this year, averaging 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 12.1 minutes of play.
Daniels' father, Ricky played for the Bendigo Braves in the SEABL era. He won two national MVP titles and had his number 23 jersey number retired back in 2011.
“He’s more of a shooting guard-point guard, I was more a 3-4-5, (but) I played point guard in high school and college a bit,” Ricky Daniels shared with the Bendigo Advertiser in February this year.
“He’s a bit quicker and a bit more athletic and he has got the smarts. That will help a lot stepping out into the men’s league.”

Daniels also participated in the NBL's recent 2019 Next Gen camp, a 2-day event conducted last month at the State Basketball Centre, with NBL club personnel in attendance ready to evaluate potential talent.
"[I have] got lots of goals planned, obviously," Daniels shared with NBL1. "To play in the NBL, that would be a big goal for me. Main goal is NBA, but taking little steps between them, just looking forward to heading over to camp first and getting lots of good coaching under my belt. Hopefully, college or NBL will be a good pathway for me."
