A wiry forward out of Perth, Western Australia, Mading has been listed as the #64 ranked player in Rivals' latest rankings for the Class of 2017 - making him the only Australian on this list.
Along with achieving his first ranking, Mading has also picked up an offer from St John's University, coached by Hall of Famer Chris Mullin. The university is just a short drive from St Anthony High School, where Mading has recently transferred.
Mading is also being recruited heavily by Arizona State University, coached by Bobby Hurley, son of Mading's current high school coach, Bob Hurley Sr.
