Creating history: Gemma Potter on a new challenge with Geelong United

After a horror run with injuries and a long road back to the court, Potter is rebuilding her confidence as part of WNBL's newest team

When Gemma Potter talks to The Pick and Roll, she’s taking her faithful border collie Jax for a walk at a local oval and using some rare downtime to reflect on the events of the night before.

Her Geelong United team had recorded their first ever WNBL win, defeating the defending champion Southside Flyers 90-87.

“We were all pretty excited and wanted to soak in the moment,” Potter says. “We did create history, and that's something that can be kept forever.”
