Like you, we’ve always been about Aussie hoops. And we’ve kept it free for seven years.

It’s been free to read, but it’s never been free to produce. That's always been the thing about media. It's expected to be free access, and the bar is really, really low - anyone with a blog can write an opinion, after all. But the cost of doing it the right way can be heavy. Those unseen hours of editing, late at night. Feedback and brainstorming with the writers, organising interviews, making sure infrastructure is running, while simultaneously building a brand and growing our presence on various platforms. The grind's never been easy.

Now, our priority's on making sure we can keep doing this, and nurture the talented people who have sacrificed in their own ways to build this platform into what it is today: a trusted brand for Australian basketball coverage. And more importantly, create paid opportunities for the work they do.
