College star Megan McConnell looks to elevate her game with the Bendigo Spirit
Megan McConnell had a terrific college career before a tumultuous journey with the Phoenix Mercury. She now finds herself in Bendigo on the precipice of breaking out.

It’s fair to say, Megan McConnell’s WNBA debut read a little bit differently to her college career. In her senior year, she graduated while leading her conference in points, assists, steals and minutes, en route to one of her three All-A10 selections, one of two All-A10 Defensive Team and her sole DPOY.
“Scoring was a priority for me in college because I felt like I had to have that scoring role,” McConnell told The Pick and Roll recently. “My mindset shifted once I got to the WNBA because I was playing with a bunch of people that could put the ball in the hoop. So I would say that wasn't my main focus, but if I was open, I was going to shoot it.”
