Chris Goulding out ahead of Perth Wildcats opener
Melbourne United will be left without their star scoring guard, Chris Goulding in Perth when the Wildcats open at home for the NBL 2019/20 season.
According to an announcement from United, the Boomers guard has been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Perth Wildcats.
Goulding suffered from ankle soreness after the Throwdown opener against South East Melbourne United, after a bad landing from defending a drive to the rim.
Following fitness tests, it was decided that he would not play.
Outside of Goulding, Melbourne United will also be playing without David Barlow (thumb), Casey Prather (knee) and Sam McDaniel (mid-foot sprain).
Update: The Pick and Roll's Ben Mallis also confirmed with United coach Dean Vickerman, that Goulding's status will be re-evaluated over the coming days, as far as the NBLxNBA games are concerned.
Melbourne United will play the Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena at 5:30pm on 5 Oct Saturday AEST. Live broadcast will be available on SBS VICELAND and SBS On Demand.
