Determination comes in many forms. It manifests in different ways for different people. But it typically involves a pursuit of a goal or an objective, and not stopping until you achieve it.

In 2023, Lilly Rotunno had a goal of solidifying herself in the WNBL. She was a development player in the 2022-23 season with the Sydney Flames, but needed to find a new home the following season. Ahead of the 2023-24 season, she was close to finding a spot on her way to realising that goal. However, the opportunity she thought she had as a potential development player for the now defunct Melbourne Boomers, had a slight complication.
