Motum spent the last two seasons with Anadolu Efes in Istanbul, Turkey. During the recent 2018-19 season, the team was runner-up of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and champion of the Turkish League.
Last season, the 28 year old Brisbane native averaged 6.5 points, and hit 44% of his triples in Euroleague.
“We were that close to winning the EuroLeague which would have been massive but to get to the Final of the league was a huge accomplishment,” Motum shared in May.
“It was an amazing experience!
“Last year it was pretty miserable because we came last in the EuroLeague and didn’t win too many games. This year it was a big turnaround as we made the playoffs, the Final Four, and unfortunately CSKA Moscow on the day were better than us. They were on fire from the three and just played better than us.”

Motum will be part of the Boomers squad for the FIBA 2019 World Cup campaign in China.
“It’s a very strong squad – like everyone expected I think! A lot of big names who have played together before but also with some new faces. So it will be good to get back together as a group.”
