Aussies in WNBA: Taylor sidelined by injury
The Los Angeles Sparks have continued their surge as the team on the top of the table in this WNBA season, sitting pretty with a 16-1 record. Minnesota’s rough patch of losses has ended, securing wins over the San Antonio Stars and Chicago Sky. Rebecca Allen and her New York Liberty are also continuing their dominance in the league, with Tina Charles in fine form and leading the way.
With the combination of Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike, the Sparks don't look like dropping a game at all after their one hiccup against the Lynx earlier.
Ogwumike recorded a career high 38 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks in the Sparks win over the Atlanta Dream earlier in the week.

Bigs are in form
The WNBA forwards and centers have been lighting it up this round, with the likes of Brittney Griner and Elena Delle Donne dominating over the past week.
Griner registered one of the most insane displays we’ve seen this season, as she recorded the 6th triple-double in WNBA history in the Mercury’s win over Atlanta. In an out-of-this-world display, Griner finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks.

Delle Donne has been superb all week too, amassing 38 points and 10 rebounds in Chicago’s loss to Minnesota on Tuesday. Delle Donne also registered another double-double earlier in the week against Washington, leading the Sky with 28 points and 11 rebounds to win by 2 points.
