Aussies in NBA: Thon Maker hits back-to-back threes
Thon Maker hasn’t had much of an opportunity to make an impact in his rookie season so far. However, with the Milwaukee Bucks blowing out the Indiana Pacers, Maker finished the game in style.
With the Bucks leading 119-105, Michael Beasley and Maker ran a pick and pop, leading to a wide-open triple for the Aussie. To the delight of the Milwuakee crowd, Maker nailed the basket, the first field goal of his career.
Then, just one possession later, Maker and fellow rookie Malcolm Brogdon ran the same play, which led to the same result, and an even more pumped-up Bucks crowd.

In a minute of action, Maker scored six points, was 2-of-2 from beyond the arc and was a plus-four, as the Bucks moved to 3-2 on the young season. While he won't be playing big minutes in his rookie season, if the Bucks continue to rack up blowout wins, Maker will have greater opportunities to finish games and build some NBA experience.
Milwaukee’s other Australian, Matthew Dellavedova, finished with five points, four assists and one steal in 24 minutes of action.
