Aussies in NBA: Patty Mills erupts against Hornets
A Patty Mills explosion off the bench helped the San Antonio Spurs blow away the Charlotte Hornets 114-94.
Mills finished the game with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting (3-of-6 from 3pt), to go with 4 assists, 2 steals, and a video-game-like +39 in his 19 minutes of action.
After taking a 51 – 47 lead into halftime, the Spurs came out of the break stagnant, finding themselves down 62-66 early in the third.
Enter Patty Mills.
Decked out in his camouflaged army uniform, Mills went off like a grenade in the AT&T Center and ignited the Spurs.
He was setting up teammates,

and at his pesky best on defense.

When he returned to the bench early in the fourth quarter, the Spurs had turned a four point deficit into a 22 point lead.
It was easily Mills' best game of the season, registering season highs in points and assists, along with equal season highs in steals and 3-pointers made.
Mills is looking back to his deadly best with his shooting and currently sits 8th in in the league for 3-point percentage at .524.
