Aussies in NBA: Mills rains career high 3’s on Suns
Patty Mills brought the rain to the Arizona desert, hitting a career-high equaling six 3-pointers in the Spurs 118-111 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Mills finished the game with 21 points (6-of-13 FGs, 6-of-9 3Pt), 3 rebounds and 5 assists in 23 minutes.
His 21 points were one shy his season high and his six 3's were the 3rd time he had reached that total in his career.
Mills was in attack mode from the moment he left the bench, sensing blood in the water knowing he was matching up against Phil Pressey who was playing his first game for the Suns.
Mills drained his first 3-pointer and from there the heavens opened up and he just kept knocking them down from deep.

At the half Mills led the Spurs with 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting, all from beyond the 3-point line.
He kept it going when he returned in the second half and with not much defense being played by either side he proved vital in the race to see who could reach the highest point total.
No longer exclusively about the buckets, Mills also setup his teammates at every opportunity and continues to rack up assists at a career high rate.

His searing month has seen Mills' 3-point percentage cross the magical 40% barrier for the first time this season at 40.3%, which ranks 19th in the league.
Mills has become a controlled burn on the court these days and he now ranks 8th in the league in assist-turnover-ratio, hot on the heels of 6th placed Matthew Dellavedova.
