Aussies in NBA: Ingles turns up the heat on defence
The Utah Jazz are currently battling for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. All they can do is keep winning to ensure they stay in the mix.
It's fair to say they have done just that! The Jazz are on a 6-game winning streak, including 5 wins in a row at home. The Jazz currently own the eighth best record in the West at 25-25. Portland is ninth at 26-27, next in line is Sacramento at 21-31.
Joe Ingles has been a solid contributor during the streak, which is currently the second best winning streak in the league, second only to Golden State.
The most impressive facet of Ingles' play during the streak has been his defensive contributions to the team. In the 6 wins, with Ingles on the court, the Jazz have an incredible defensive rating of 83.8! Utah's team defensive rating sits at 91.3 over that stretch.
This proves that Ingles' hard work on his defensive game is paying dividends. Ingles is becoming somewhat of a pest on the defensive end, highlighted by his three steals against Milwaukee last week. He also got into a very small tussle with Mason Plumlee during the game.

The Jazz will look to extend their winning streak to 7 as they face the Mavericks in Dallas tomorrow.
